Creating your account in the Ecomiles app
This tutorial will guide you through creating an account in the Ecomilhas app, step by step. By the end, you’ll be ready to start earning miles for your sustainable trips.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A smartphone (Android or iOS)
- The Ecomilhas app installed (Google Play | App Store)
- Your phone number
- A government-issued ID number (for Brazil, this is your CPF)
- A valid email address you can access
Step 1 — Open the app for the first time
When you open the Ecomilhas app for the first time, you’ll see the welcome (onboarding) screens introducing the app:
- “Welcome to Ecomilhas” — Turn your sustainable daily commutes into rewards.
- “We didn’t reinvent the wheel” — You earn rewards when you choose lower-emission transportation.
- “Multimodal” — Walking, cycling, public transit, electric vehicles, and even ethanol-fueled vehicles.
Tap “Next” to go through the screens, or “Skip” to go straight to the login screen. On the last screen, tap “Get started”.
Step 2 — Go to the sign-up screen
On the login screen, you’ll see the message “First time here?” with the link “Sign up”. Tap it to start creating your account.
Tip: If you already have an account, just enter your email and password and tap “Log in”.
Step 3 — Enter your phone number
In the first step of sign-up, you’ll need to enter your phone number:
- Select your country code (for Brazil, +55 may appear by default).
- Enter your number including area code.
- Check the box confirming you accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
- Tap “Continue” to move forward.
Tip: You can open the Terms of Use link to read the full document before accepting.
Step 4 — Fill in your personal details
Now you’ll enter your personal information. The fields are:

Fill out the fields and tap “Continue”.
Step 5 — Create your password
In this step, you’ll set your password. It must meet these requirements:
- At least 8 characters
- At least 1 special character (e.g., @, #, !)
- At least 1 uppercase letter
- At least 1 lowercase letter
- At least 1 number
Enter your password in “Password” and repeat it in “Confirm password”, then tap “Continue”.
Step 6 — Verify your email (confirmation code)
After you submit your details, the app will send a verification code to the email you provided.
- Open your email inbox.
- Find the Ecomilhas email containing the 6-digit code.
- Enter the code in the app.
- Tap “Verify”.
Tip: Didn’t receive the code? Tap “Didn’t receive the code?” to request a resend. Wait for the countdown before requesting again.
Step 7 — Sign-up complete!
If everything is correct, you’ll see a success message:
“Your registration was completed successfully!”
The app may also indicate that a welcome email was sent to your inbox. Tap “Continue” to access the home screen and start using Ecomilhas.

Can I sign up without an ID/Tax ID number?
In Brazil, the CPF is required to verify identity. Requirements may vary depending on your country and the program you’re enrolled in.
Can I use a personal email?
Yes. You can use any valid email address you can access. If your company participates in Ecomilhas, using your work email may be helpful.
Which operating systems are supported?
Ecomilhas is available on Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).
